If you were concerned that the Vampire Diaries would have lost force, you rest easy, the Thursday episode promises to leave mark.
Starting with the funeral of Tyler's mother, this episode brings us the return of two original (sorry, Elijah is not one) and finds Elena, Caroline and Stefan being held hostage in the Institute of Mystic Falls. Although there are several unexpected twists (including a totally unexpected and fascinating Alliance) and much sarcasm (especially between Damon and Klaus), is great and authentic emotional pump detonated about Damon, Elena and Stefan which will leave you trembling.
